Restaurant Practical 4

20 November 2010

This was our last restaurant practical class.
Our lesson for the day was napkin folding & the table cloth setting!
Wow~!
That's amazing.
There were many types of folding methods with only one napkin!
Bishop's Mitre, Rosebud, Pyramid, The Crown, The Rose, Lady Windermere's Fan, Cardinal Hat, The Goblet Fan, The Clown's Hat, Arum Lily, Bird of Paradise.
Miss Sukie taught us these 10 napkins folding.
Actually there are still got many many types of folding...
10 types I also want pengsan already....
susah nak memorise...
and...the table cloth setting...
susah juga...

that's it for the day!
after class, we did spring cleaning.
because our TARC restaurant is re-opening on Monday.

Today got one photographer came to our restaurant for photo shooting.
 He is from Parenthood Magazine.
Curious about what was he photo shooting?
HeHem..... he was came to shoot us...
Blek~  =P
Actually he was came to shoot the foods which cooked by our professional chefs.

♥ Interview (Sem 2) ♥

Assignment of Hotel Management & Operation is gonna to submit soon.
Our assignment title is to interview one of the hotel department.
We had choose F & B department (Restaurant).

18 November 2010
This is our target, Hotel Warisan Bintang.
It located at Bukit Bintang area, near to Sungai Wang.
It is a budget hotel which their main customers are foreigners.

The restaurant feels good.
Ambience there is sooo good.
got foreign country feel right?
looks like cowboy country, Mexico!

and the boss there was treats us sooo good.
He belanja us drinks ice water + orange juice wor...

we went to have our brunch at MCD.
and... after that...
I went to Times Square shopping with Wen Shin.
hmm... is Christmas decorations at the hall.

Kitchen Practical 3

On Saturday morning, it was our school graduation too.
 Many flower stalls at outside the college...
along the roadside lor....
 damn good business.
I want to operate an flower stall outside the college when graduation day too....
in future lah...

haiz....
People wore graduation hats in the college hall, but us wore the chef hats in the kitchen.
so pity...

Our recipe were roasted chicken.
Chefs prepare us a chicken for each group.
We did all the cutting.
A chicken has been cut into many parts.
Chicken wings, chicken legs, chicken breast, and the left used to cook stocks.
These are the brown stock and the white stock for the dish.
Roasted potatoes--- side dish.



Our final products
 Looks tasty right?
our chefs tasted it and the feedback was the chicken were too salty..

but I tasted it, it is ngam ngam..
ok what..
hehe... because I like to eat salty food.

hmm...not bad..
I know how to roast chicken already.

ermm.....as a reminder.
Week 9 is coming....
Our group will be cooking in the kitchen on that week.
