Kitchen Practical 2 (Sem 3)

Today, 9th of March

Kitchen Practical again.
We cooked something delicious again!
heehee~~

Erm... Today I was in the pastry room, and not in the hot kitchen again.
Our pastry room got air-cond geh~~
=)
Heehee~ Finally can learn something about bakery.
We baked Choux Puffs today!
Here is the recipe.
Firstly put the 120g margerine into a pot with 300ml of water, and bring it to boil.
When it is boiling, may put in the 170g of low protein flour.
The batter is done.
After that, the batter is put in the dough mixer and mixed with the 5 numbers of eggs.
This is how the batter looks like at the end of mixing.

and the tray wass coated with a thin layer of butter.
Now the pipping bag was filling with the batter and 'pip' it out with difference patterns.


Chef show us how is the way to 'pip' it out~~
We were doing hard to 'pip' it out beautifully too~~
just like chef did...
but we were not so successful... quite hard to do like chef...
He is too pro.
Haha~ I'm working hard... :P

Our group end products.
Ermm.. not bad...
but compared to chef one, maybe was bad...

Bring it in to the oven, set the temperature to 195°C and 25 minutes.
While waiting for the choux puff being done, we had our break time.
After 25 minutes....

Small puff, big puff was done and brought out from the oven.
=)

Hehe~ now what we need to do was filled the puffs with cream.
and dipped the cream puffs with chocolate.
It was done!
and at the same time, other groups are done too.
Let's see their dishes.
Prawn with Thousand Islands on the leaves of vegetables.
Don't know what it called...

French bread with tomatoes and eggs fillings.

while waiting for our tasting time, was always the good time for us to take pictures.

Practical are always the happiest time for us..
